The Rotorua Marathon is New Zealand’s most iconic and prestigious major marathon, with over 3,500 runners and walkers taking part each year. In 2022 the event will recognise its 58th year on Saturday 7 May, 2022.
The Full Marathon is a single 42.2km ‘lap of the lake’ course around Lake Rotorua. There is also the Red Stag Timber off-road Half Marathon(21km) through the Redwoods of Whakarewarewa forest, and the Go Media 10km and 5.5km fun run, which take runners and walkers through the geothermal Sulphur Flats.
There is something for runners and walkers of all abilities to choose from.
