On 1 December 2023 the Community Christmas Tree will be set up in the Rotorua Library, Te Aka Mauri. Individuals and organisations are invited to bring in wrapped gifts that will be taken to the Waiariki Women’s Refuge and shared amongst those in need at Christmas and into the new year.
Most gifts will be taken to the women’s refuge in time for Christmas Day. However organisations and families can continue to drop presents off until Friday 5 January 2024, enabling people to donate any unwanted Christmas gifts to this great cause.
All gifts should have a gift tag indicating whether it is for the mother or a child, and if for a child the gender and the suitable age range.
