Register to attend one of our free workshops exploring different types of home composting – basic compost, bokashi and worm farming.
Why is composting important?
More than 50% of what we throw away in kerbside rubbish is organic waste from our food and gardens. Organic waste in landfill creates methane gas and leachate, which are problematic to the environment!
Composting reduces landfill emissions and gives nutrients back to the land, increases food security, reduces food miles, waste emissions and reliance on commercial composts and fertilisers – these workshops are family friendly! You can choose to attend one or more workshop in the registration form.
