Volunteer for the Department of Conservation – June
DOC Rangers from Rotorua invite you to join our monthly volunteer days.
The activities and the location will vary from month to month.
As well as helping out DOC rangers and community groups, you’ll also get to learn about the history of the project area, go on a walk, or even catch a glimpse of some of the amazing wildlife.
When: Wednesday 16 June, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
What: Track Maintenance with the Recreation and Historic DOC rangers
Where: Mokaihaha Rotohokahoka Track
Task: Maintaining the track and foliage
•Medium fitness and able to carrying tools and equipment for up to 8km
•Comfortable hiking boots
Purpose: Keeping tracks accessible and attractive to ensure public stay on the tracks.
