The Puriri Tree, created by Jack Grace, known for his work at 8 Scott Ave, is a reflective story on suicide and the challenges it brings to our whanau and communities through the medium of theatre. This tale of courage and love delivers a unique mix of understanding, strength and hope.
The production showcases a Rotorua-based team, including actors, kapa haka performers, and live musicians.
Thanks to the generous support of Rotorua Trust, One Foundation and the Sir Howard Morrison Centre, admission to this show is offered free of charge.

SAFE LOUNGE:
Recognising the sensitive nature of the show, Jack has arranged for professional support to be accessible at the venue throughout and after the show. A Hauora Team from various Rotorua health clinics will host a Safe Lounge, offering wananga (workshops) to support and care for whanau.
This space encourages open, safe conversations in case the performance triggers feelings of overwhelm or anxiety.
